The Fondation médicale gets a new look
A new logo and completely revamped website have given the Fondation médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d'en-Haut an entirely new look. The new image was revealed on March 7 at a cocktail reception that brought together businesspeople, partners, elected representatives and donors from throughout the area in the Place de la Fondation of Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts.
“We were due for a real update,” said Michel Rochon, the Fondation chair. Created in partnership with the firm Erod, the new logo sports a trendier look than the one in use since 1990. It symbolizes the synergy of the three main pillars: the medical institution, the donor, and the patient and person in need. The new logo also boasts a colour code: blue evokes confidence and trust, yellow is for energy, red is for love and green is for hope.
The Fondation médicale’s website has also undergone a transformation in order to provide a friendlier experience to Web surfers. The new site is interactive and will be updated regularly. On it, visitors will find new texts, new videos and coming activities. A newsletter will also be sent to the donors and partners of the Fondation médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d'en-Haut.
The “Family Counter” becomes Les Trésors de la Fondation
A new logo has also been created to represent les Trésors de la Fondation (the Foundation’s Treasures), known until now as the Comptoir familial (the Family Counter). The logo replays the graphics of the new foundation logo, the goal being to ensure a better connection between the two entities. In terms of colour, the logo’s yellow and orange symbolize, respectively, energy and friendship.
Established in the former Notre-Dame-de-Fatima church in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, the used-items store was founded in 2010. It is an important source of revenue for the Fondation médicale, in addition to providing people with used items at modest prices.
Patrice Malo will preside over Golf-Vélo 2017
Two fundraising activities support the Fondation’s mission: Golf-Vélo and the Souper de la Fondation. The traditional golf tournament – to which was added a cyclosportif event last year – will take place on June 12 at Mont-Tremblant’s Le Diable golf course. Golfers and cyclists will start off at 11 a.m.
Please note that for the first time ever, this day of sporting events will be organized in partnership with Tremblant Resort. Patrice Malo, president and chief operating officer of Mont Tremblant Resort, has been selected to preside over this new version of the event.
“This is the first time we have worked with Station Mont Tremblant,” said Daniel Desjardins, executive director of the Fondation. “As far as the choice of course is concerned, this reflects our desire to highlight all sectors of the territory that we serve.”
While the golf tickets have sold out completely, there are still places available for the 60-km cycling event. In addition, Daniel Desjardins is still looking for gifts to be auctioned off in the silent auction, for sponsors for the various golf holes, as well as for volunteers for the day’s events. Contact Daniel Desjardins for information at 819 324-8923.
Founded in 1990, the Fondation médicale des Laurentides et des Pays-d’en-Haut has as its mission the improvement and support of the health and well-being of the population through the acquisition and modernization of medical equipment for the major regional health care facilities: the Centre de santé et de services sociaux des Sommets, des Pays-d’en-Haut and the CLSC-GMF de Saint-Donat.
