Jasey-Jay promotes skiing in Québec
“L’hiver vous attend” (winter awaits you) says Mont-Tremblant’s Olympic snowboard champion Jasey-Jay Anderson in a campaign mounted by the Quebec Ski Areas Association to get more Quebeckers out on the slopes. The campaign, carried on the website www.monski.ca and through television ads, has Jasey touting Québec’s great outdoors, its mountains and beautiful winters and, of course, its alpine snow sports. The Monski website is described as a portal for new skiers in Québec, a guide providing the information needed to take up skiing or snowboarding. The QSAA’s main website www.maneige.com also gives a host of information on skiing in the province.
According to the QSAA, there are more than 1.2 million Quebeckers who ski and snowboard but there is potential to add another 900,000. Québec’s population is eight million.
